This is a wonderful handmade air-prune mesh grow bag. They are made out of durable, nontoxic mesh guaranteed to last a full season and are reusable. Because they are made with mesh material they are also easy to ship and store.

These one gallon bags are individually sown with a durable thread that holds up against moisture, mildew, bugs and sun.

With normal pots, the solid material can cause a main root to continue to grow, and when it can't grow out, it curls around the bottom of the pot. This inhibits the growth of the plant by minimizing the space in the soil that is available for new plant growth. This can also stress the plant because it can deprive it of nutrients, air and water.

These mesh grow bags are perfect for preventing root binding. Because it is made with a mesh material the roots go out and, sensing air, stop growing and the base sends out a new root. This prevents a main root continuing to grow, curling along the bottom of regular pot.

This is also ideal for transplanting because the seedling grows a radiant puffball of roots ready to grow in all directions. This makes it much easier and safer to transfer to a more permanent home. The many smaller roots make it much easier to survive any damage and grow a healthier root system that doesn't tangle itself.
